Trends in digital branding for 2010
Published 11/12/2009 ago by Anahí
In this note, we predict the main trends for Internet design.
Straight to the point of no return:
During 2010 the use of simple interfaces is expected to increase.
Choosing to have more space and less loading content, has a purpose: to sustain the attention of those who browse the Internet.
To generate impact, we’ll use high quality images with high resolution digital cameras.
Less for more:
This year will also bring about the tendency to compose the elements on the screen that focus all important information in one shot. Global users spend more than 23 hours per month on the Internet, therefore, they have no interest in accessing multiple pages to find what they want.
At BlueFever, we develop digital campaigns through landing pages, as a simple and effective promotional resource for the visitor to focus his attention on what he’s really looking for. One of the best options is to present information in short blocks and give the user the possibility to expand through light boxes (less interactive applications than pop-ups). Besides using different tools, we can measure the outcome of the campaign, obtaining a detailed ROI allowing adjustments in the programming and so increase the results.
Handmade digitally:
A trend that will have strong impact in 2010, is to add artwork to the interface. Drawings, similar to the facts at hand, are useful in differentiating the brand, inserting more human elements to digitally created interfaces.
Probably, between 2009 and 2010, there will be continuity: Social networking icons, visual aids to guide the user (avatars, buttons, etc).
Let's wait for 2010 with news!
